Farmer Elementary Staff have loved the first two treats of the school year! Our Sunshine Cart sponsor for the month of August was Double J Transportation, and in September it was TKM Performance. Your generosity and kindness have made our staff feel so appreciated! We are grateful for our wonderful community partners who help make Farmer Elementary a special place to work.
Today, 9/29/26, was international coffee day. Horace Mann Insurance sponsored our sunshine cart and kicked our day off right with some delicous coffee. Thank you Horace Mann for spoiling us today, we appreciate it.
Saturday was PTO appreciation Day and we just have to say we have the absolute best PTO around! On Friday September 23rd our 3rd-5th grade students participated in our annual Fall Dance. Our PTO graciously allowed all the proceeds from the dance to help fund our annual 4th grade field trip to Raleigh. Thanks to Farmer PTO, we were able to raise over $950 to help supplement the cost of this wonderful experience for our Farmer students. Thank you to all the PTO who took the time to help us execute this dance, and for donating all of the money made during concessions. Your time and energy does not go unnoticed and we are so lucky to have you.
Farmer Elementary would like to say a big THANK YOU to Emily & Stella Hinesley for taking the time to tend to our flower boxes. This mother-daughter duo donated their time to pull weeds to help keep our school beautiful and we greatly appreciate it. Stella told her Mom that she was learning about citizenship in class and was proud to be taking part in positively impacting her community!
Today on 9/25, in honor of Dolly Parton and her wonderful contribution to educating thousands of students through her Imagination Library, the Farmer Elementary Staff members participated in a special spirit day. Our reading specialist, Ms. Clark, dropped by many classrooms to read A Coat of Many Colors and continue Dolly Parton's legacy of nurturing a love for reading.
Fifth Grade Students are learning to play the Ukulele in music class this week. You should hear how well they are doing! A big thank you to Mrs. Briles for taking the time to provide this wonderful opportunity to our students.
